- Alessandro Artusi joined CaSToRC, in May 2009. He received an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Milan, Italy, in 1997 and a PhD in Computer Science (Computer Graphics) with distinction, from the Vienna University of Technology (VUT), Austria, in 2004. Alessandro specializes in Computer Graphics and Scientific Visualization.
He also serves as a reviewer in journals and conferences in the field, as well as serving as an International Program Committee (IPC) member and consultant for various companies.
Alessandro has participated in several projects in the field at national and international level: 3 EPSRC, 2 EU IST, 1 MURST Italian, 1 FWF Austrian, 1 IPE-RPF (Cyprus) projects. Prior to this he was Associate Researcher at the National Council of Research (CNR) in Italy and at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria; Assistant Professor at Intercollege (now University of Nicosia) in Cyprus; ERCIM European Research Fellow and Research Fellow at Warwick Digital Laboratory UK.
Alessandro is also one of the members of the Managment Committee of the COST Action 'The digital capture, storage, transmission and display of real-world lighting', representing the Cyprus Institute and Cyprus.
